What are Others Saying About Coach-Ability

This book is a must read! I love the stories Dane shares from his personal life. They highlight the various themes of the book, the main one being character is the key. The stories also make this book so readable, and keeps the reader intrigued and wanting to read and learn more. COACH-ABILITY AND THE TRICYCLE EFFECT shares Dane's exciting and challenging life journey. The book is a roadmap for success, and demonstrates how to climb the mountains we find before us. I especially love the Chalk Talks and the Workbooks which emphasize the application of the knowledge presented, because without application no real learning takes place. Learn how being coachable and coaching others is not only for leaders, but for EVERYONE as they seek a significant life with meaning and purpose.

Dane Deutsch has been a professional friend for more than twenty years. In our service and leadership in the military, we both learned that Character and Courage were the foundation for achieving the Technical Mission and serving the People. His Tricycle Effect has been a brilliant way to illustrate that concept. In this new book, Dane has provided Coach-Ability, the most important thing anyone needs to learn and apply. The ability to self-coach is the only way we can consistently grow as a person and a leader, and this book provides amazing stories and coaching to help us all develop. Even as a senior leader, this book is helping me coach myself to keep growing. I know it will do the same for you.

Leadership books can’t just be interesting – they have to be useful. Fortunately, Coach-Ability and the Tricycle effect is both. Dane’s background in the military combined with his years as a gymnastics coach give him a wealth of relevant stories that reveal how the character of leadership drives impact and results. Better yet, he provides the frameworks and practical tips to become aware of the power of your character and how to leverage it for the benefit of your people, your organization, and the communities you serve.

Just finished reading Dane Deutsch's new book Coach-Ability and The Tricycle Effect. When I started this book I felt that it might be a book for just coaches but I was wrong. The more I got into the book I realized that the Coach-Ability concept he was promoting applied not just for coaches but for anyone who wanted to improve themselves, their families and help those around them. The different life experiences that he had and shares in the book make the reader feel more like a companion on the journey instead of a bystander. I would recommend this book to anyone who is searching for a way to make their life and the lives of others better.

MEET THE AUTHOR

Hey, I'm Coach Dane!

Hi Friend,

I’m Dane Deutsch, the CEO of the Leadership and Management Development in Character (LMDC).

With over 40 years of experience in leadership, coaching, and character development, I’ve had the honor of guiding individuals and organizations toward building character-driven leadership, because I believe character is the foundation of true leadership.

I specialize in helping leaders and teams cultivate

The Tricycle Effect, which balances the three C’s:

character, competence, and courage. This framework empowers leaders to make ethical decisions and create lasting significance in their leadership, not just achieve success. My approach is grounded in the belief that leading with character first paves the way for long-term impact.

When I’m not working on leadership development, I enjoy professionally coaching gymnastics, running triathlons, writing books, and spending time with my wife, Katharine, and our family.

Looking forward to helping you lead with character as the foundation of your leadership!

Trike On!
